My previous pair of steel toe shoes was a set of Wolverines and while comfortable weighed like a tank. In comparison this set of Converse Steel toe Shoes are both light weight and comfortable. There is adequate padding in the heels though there will still be an initial break in period. In my case I experienced a couple of days of soreness which has since passed and I wear them all the time. I wear them both at work and when I am walking in the afternoon for two miles each day.

The only flaw that I have found so far is a small tear in the webbing on one of the shoes. However, in their benefit the mesh has not torn further. Nor does it appear to be a flaw with the shoe but a work related flaw as I work in the maintenance department at our facility.

These shoes may not be right for every individual but I find that they are perfect for me. Lightweight, durable, and both comfortable and stylish enough to wear both at and away from work.
